Geting thousand of visitors a day is quite simple if you look at it in terms of everyday, common tasks. There are only a few things you need to do in order to drive traffic to your blog. A word to remember - this is not going to happen overnight. It could take anywhere from
a month to over a year to generate hundreds of visitors a day.

Content
Prepare content for several months of blogging prior to starting. Many bloggers get burnt out or they get distracted preventing them from updating their blog often enough to retain traffic. So prepare enough content (by content, it must be quality content) for several months. If you prepare each of these as drafts in your blogging platform, it will make updates even easier. Click "publish" once a day and you've posted new content.

Niche
I'd like to think I know everything about golf. One thing though - I've never played a full round of golf in my life. Therefore, I'm not going to start a blog about golf. What I do know is marketing, blogging and passive income strategies. The point is - start a blog around something you are knowledgeable in. It will be easier to generate content, express your opinions, relate to your visitors and keep up-to-date with current events in your niche.

Now, I'm not saying you can't start a blog about something you aren't knowledgeable in. However, if you are starting your first blog, it might be a little easier to learn your way around blogging platforms, rules, content, affiliate marketing and everything else associated with blogging if you blog about something you know.

Design
Obviously to some, design doesn't matter. However, a nicer design will likely lead to a more user-friendly experience. And having a user-friendly blog will help you retain visitors. If visitors constantly have to hunt and search for the most recent content or they can't find your RSS feed or Twitter link, it poses an experience problem. It will come to a point where your visitor will turn their attention to something else.

Load Time
Although most of the internet world is on a high speed connection at this point we don't want to over look page load time. Have you ever been to a website where you still have to wait few seconds until all of the content is exposed? Yes, I said a few seconds. We have all grown to be a bit impatient. Try minimizing the load time for each page to under 20K. Now it might seem like a low number but it is doable.

Internal Links
Make sure to address internal links on your blog. If you have 5 articles that are related to one another in some form, make sure to post links to the other articles at the end of each post. Or try and incorporate them within the content itself.

Simple SEO
If you aren't a developer or SEO specialist, you can still take the necessary steps to get quality exposure on search engines with just a little fine tuning. Take a look at the article you are writing right now. Can you describe it in a few keywords? If you can, great. Write those down and start scanning your entire article. Does a keyword or two appear in your heading? How about the URL? Meta tags? Maybe an H1 tag or does it stand out by bolding? Taking these extra few steps and spreading these keywords throughout your article can increase your authority in search engines. It's important to make this a habit. You need to treat every article like it's your most important article.
